Obituary of Jeffrey Tinglan

TINGLAN, Jeffrey Alan of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth surrounded by his family. He was 51 years old. Jeffrey A. Tinglan was born on June 29, 1960 in Saginaw to Donald Lewis and Carol Ann (Durbin) Tinglan. Jeff graduated from Douglas McArthur High School with the Class of 1979. Following graduation he attended Kirkland Community College where he studied welding. He was employed at St. Mary's of Michigan Hospital as a security guard, retiring in 2010. Jeff was an avid deer hunter, loved motorcycle riding, the Detroit Red Wings, playing Keno, the lottery and above all he cherished his family and friends. Jeff is survived by his two sons: Joshua and Zachary Tinglan; his granddaughter, Jayde Tinglan; his father, Donald Lewis (Kathy) Tinglan; two brothers and a sister: Thomas Tinglan, Duff (Suzie) Tinglan and LuAnn (Peter) Solari; a step-father, Harold McKellar; two step-brothers: Christopher and Shane (Angie) Nickerson; two step-sisters: Cheryl McKellar and Paula Morgan; and a very dear friend, Gail Miller; along with friends: Dennis Domino, Gary Sawyer, David Rivard, Andrew Tucker and all the security staff at St. Mary's Hospital. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Ann McKellar and sisters: Mary Margaret and Karen Elizabeth Tinglan. Jeff's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Fresenius Medical Care Dialysis Center, St. Mary's Medical Staff, Tendercare of Frankenmuth and Diane of Hospice Advantage. According to Jeff's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, details will appear in the Thursday, February 23, 2012 edition of The Saginaw News. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
