Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. He was 93 years old. Alan Brian Macaulay was born January 16, 1926 in London, Ontario to the late Allen Daniel and Mary (Maynard) Macaulay. He married Joey James on February 19, 1949 at Fort Benning, Georgia. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2001. Brian was president of SBS Industrial Products, and he was a proud Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War and later a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Bay City, MI. He was awarded various military commendations, including the Purple Heart. Left to cherish Brian's memory are his daughter-in-law, Susan Macaulay of Saginaw; grandson, Matthew Kerry (Alexander) Macaulay of Astoria, NY; his brother, George M. Macaulay of Santa Rosa, CA; and his loving niece, Martha (Sam) Pettineo of Chicago, IL. Brian was preceded in death by his sisters Sheila Eileen Macaulay and Rosemary Rose, wife, Joey Macaulay, and his son, Kerry Macaulay. FUNERAL: A committal service for Brian will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Chapel Hill Mausoleum, 6476 Midland Road, Freeland MI. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Aleda E. Lutz Veteran Hospital.
