Obituary of Ramon Bravo Godinez

Godinez, Ramon Bravo Sr. Spaulding Township, Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 with his family by his side. He was 90 years old. Ramon was born March 19, 1928 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leihado and Refugio (Bravo) Godinez. He married Jesusita Aguilar, she preceded him in death. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ramon was employed by General Motors and retired with over 43 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local 455. Ramon loved the outdoors and took great joy in fishing, hunting and camping. He also enjoyed going out dancing with his friends. What he loved most was spending time with his loving family. Ramon is survived by his children, Ramon (Maria) Godinez Jr. and Juan (Diane) Godinez; grandchildren, Juan, Melissa, Celisse and Glenda; great-grandchildren, Stevie, Jada, Cassandra, Marcus, Anthony and Amayiah; great great-grandchildren, Layla and Pariss; sister, Maria and several nieces and nephews. Ramon was preceded in death by his son, Jesus; four brothers and a good friend, John Elizade. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy for Ramon will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State St.). Rev. Fr. Joseph Schabel will officiate. Private interment to take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place Saturday morning from 10:00 until the time of service.
