I'm sad to hear of the loss of my close childhood friend. Ron was a great friend and although we haven't seen much of each other for over 30 years ,since we moved to Tennessee, I did get to talk to him at my dads funeral a couple years ago. I know he went through a lot of suffering through the years and now Ron is with Jesus. One thing I can't stop thinking about is the times he and I would hear the DDT truck heading down Hosmer Street headed to the Pines and that's where Ron and I would hide as the DDT spray came down on us. I often wondered if the chemicals messed him up. I also remember the time when he asked me to a new Lutheran church downtown in a small building in the middle of St Charles. It was the beginning of what we now know as Hope Lutheran Church. Ron's family were part of a small group that started it and later Bev and I ,my mom, dad ,sisters, uncle ,aunt and cousin joined . As kids we played many ball games in back of Rons yard. We would try to tackle Ed and even if we had extra kids Ed would drag us half way through the yard and we still couldn't take his big brother down. We used to have a lot of fun playing war in the pines with the guys and in the fall making leaf houses with the girls next door. I know those of you friends that stayed in touch with Ron were truly blessed. I know Bev and I were blessed to have him as my best man in our wedding 44 years ago. He will be truly missed on earth but has seen much joy since he was ushered into his Fathers Kingdom. May God bless and touch those he left behind and may you trust His savior. Randy& Bev Auiler.

When I met Ron, he was the warm friendly neighborly father of integrity and inspiration. I was just a boy and through his life, the ups and downs, he was always genuine and gentle. I am sadden by his loss and his suffering. His strength through it all however is a gift to this world and my life. Thank you Ron. I will remember you always, the gentleman and father.

I have many wonderful memories of Ron. We grew up together next door. All of kids in the neighborhood always had great times playing and being a kid. Ron was always a gentle caring person. His parents, brother Ed and sister Jackie were very kind caring as well. Life was simple growing up on Hosmer street In St Charles MI. In time we all seem to grow up and made lives for ourselves. Only to see each other occasionally.
Last time I saw Ron when he came to NM and stayed with John and I for awhile. Sad to heard of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers to his family. May God's love take away his pain. He's now at peace from the disease that took him.
