Bailey, Clarence of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away at his home on Friday, September 7, 2018 with his family by his side. He was 67 years old. Clarence Russell Bailey, Jr. was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 9, 1951 to the late Clarence Sr. and Sally (Heilborn) Bailey. He married Bonnie Louise Blehm on November 9, 1974; she survives him. Clarence earned his high school diploma through the United States Army. He earned the Spec 4 rank and served as a medic in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, Clarence returned to Michigan and his job at Rays Food Fair, and was promoted to Produce Manager. In his spare time, Clarence enjoyed the family cabin, hunting, and going to the casino. Above all, he loved and cherished his family and friends. He will forever be remembered for his dependability, being easy going, and fun remarks. Surviving are his beloved wife of 45 years, Bonnie; daughter, Dawn (Steve Belliveau) Bailey; son, Michael (Kelli) Bailey; five grandchildren: Bradley, Alex, Ryan, Lindsey, and Joseph; two brothers and two sisters: Sally, Wendy (Raymond), Tim (Delphine), and Kelly (Jane); best friends, Charlie (Mary) Davis; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sheila. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Road. Pastor Julie Bailey will officiate. Directly following the service at the church, military honors will be conducted. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
