Staver, John A. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. He was 79 years old. John Archie Staver was born on June 25, 1939 in Saginaw to the late John R. and Wanda (Elvin) Staver. John proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. John married Joyce E. Rachow on October 30, 1972, and she survives him. John worked for General Motors for many years. John is survived by his wife, Joyce; his daughters: Debra England and Terri Hall; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchild; and his brother, Michael Lehner. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A service will be held for John at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Rob Richards will officiate. Military honors under the auspices of the U.S. Navy will be immediately following the service. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
