Obituary of Inacia Acevedo

Acevedo, Inacia M. "Nacha" Swartz Creek, Michigan Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on August 13, 2018 at her home. She was 72 years old. Inacia M. Gonzales was born on July 31, 1946 in North Star, MI to the late Manuel and Lydia (Morales) Gonzales. Nacha's family came to Saginaw when she was a young girl. She fell in love with Joseph R. Acevedo and they were married on February 18, 1966. Together they moved to Highland where she graduated from Milford High School, and then worked for the school district. Nacha was blessed with children that she loved and raised, and her home quickly became the place for all of the neighborhood kids to hang out. She loved to travel with her family and found peace in her garden, flower gardens and landscaping projects. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, she loved to laugh, and share her time with all of those she loved. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; children: DeLeano (Erika Kayuk) Acevedo, DeAndra Acevedo and Danielle Acevedo; grandchildren: Alexia, Rosalie, Sophia and Elias; sister, Dominga Esquivel; cousin, Linda Rodriguez; best friends: Sheryl, Shirley, Terry and Reyna. Nacha will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Nacha was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jessie Gonzales. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. Sixth Street, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Joseph Schabel will officiate. VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nacha will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
