Obituary of Francis Eugene Watrous

Watrous, Francis Eugene "Bud" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his home. He was 90 years old. Francis Eugene Watrous was born on February 21, 1928 to the late Frederick Carlisle and Esther (Rice) Watrous in Detroit, MI. He moved to Saginaw with his family in 1928. Bud graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1946. He continued his education at Bay City Junior College, graduating in 1948 with an Associate Degree of Art in Pre Law, and then attended Detroit College of Law from 1948-1949. Bud was married to Marion E. Bierlein in 1950, and she preceded him in death on June 6, 1993. Bud married Donna (Milstead) Bonenfant and she survives him. Bud worked for Commercial Credit Corporation, Prudential Insurance Company and then the City of Saginaw, retiring after 25 years of service. Bud was a past member of Faith Lutheran Church, Saginaw. He also served in various positions with UCT (United Commercial Travelers). He enjoyed reading, playing the organ and accordion, and watching sports. Bud is survived by his wife, Donna Watrous; children: Patsy Mitchell, Bob (Shelley) Watrous, John Watrous, and Pam (Mark Kumm) Watrous; step-children: Linda (Bill) Sarantis, Tim (Della) Bonenfant, Tina (Bill) Beechinor, Ann Roper, and Kathy LaPorte. Bud was blessed to have many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, David Watrous; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marta Watrous, Barb and Jim Adams and Harry Bierlein; many nieces, nephews, his best friend, Duffy, extended family and friends. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marion; son, James Watrous; daughter-in-law, Sue Watrous; brother, Leland Watrous; sister-in-law, Dee Watrous. FUNERAL: A memorial service for Bud will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
