Obituary of Lois Lorain Demo

DEMO, Lois of Saginaw, Michigan, beloved wife of William, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Samaritas Senior Living of Saginaw. She was 87 years old. Lois Lorain McNeely was born on January 16, 1931 to the late Noral E. and Edith M. (Johnson) McNeely. She married William "Bill" P. Demo on November 17, 1951; he preceded her in death on February 2, 2017 after 65 years of marriage. Lois graduated from Cass City High School. She was proud of working at a bank in Detroit. Lois took Bishop Courses and became an excellent seamstress. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, square dancing, playing cards, and bowling. Lois played the piano beautifully. She truly enjoyed being a mother, and was a mother to all the neighbor's kids as well. Lois will be remembered for her intelligence, grace, and great love she gave to her family and friends. Surviving are her six children: Daniel (Bridget), Diane (Thom) Kuzilla, Patrick (Brenda), Teresa (Patrick) Rapp, Jennifer (Robert) Demo-Corne, and Jonathan (Jana); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Janice) Malace. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Noral (Virginia) McNeely and Joseph (Ella) Malace. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Samaritas Senior Living and Heartland Hospice for the tender care provided to their mother. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave. Rev. Fr. Thai Nguyen will officiate with Deacon Roger Pasionek assisting. Cremation has taken place. Private Rite of Committal will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Holy Family Catholic Church, Samaritas Senior Living of Saginaw, or the American Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
