Obituary of Christopher J. Riegel

RIEGEL, Christopher J. of Saginaw, formerly of St. Ignace, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family. He was six years old. Christopher J. Riegel was born on November 29, 2005 in Petoskey, Michigan. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Kari and Daryl Kaczan of Saginaw; three sisters: Leigha, Rachel and Amanda; three brothers: Nick, Brad and Trevor; grandparents, Larry and Linda Schlehuber of St. Ignace; great grandmother, Blanche Schlehuber; father, Jack Riegel; grandparents, Jack and Jackie Laver; great grandmother, Mary Jane Ryerse. Christopher was preceded in death by an aunt, Chelsea Schlehuber; great grandfathers: Alfred Schlehuber and Gerald Montie; uncle, Gerald Montie, Jr.; great grandmother, Lauretta Montie; great grandfather, Jack Ryerse. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service for Christopher will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Hopevale Church, 4873 N. Center Road. Pastor Ken MacGillivray will officiate. A private burial will follow in Owen Cemetery for invited family and friends. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit the family at the church on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: The family requests no flowers.
