Obituary of Teresa J. Coffey

COFFEY, Teresa J. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012. Teresa J. Dilloway was born on January 17, 1938 in Harrison, to the late Eugene and Lena (Archambault) Dilloway. She married Gerald E. Coffey on November 25, 1955 in Saginaw; he survives her. Teresa worked for both Saginaw General and Saginaw Geriatrics as an LPN until her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Teresa enjoyed arts and crafts as well as crocheting. She loved being surrounded by her family and her faithful dog, Jack. Surviving besides her loving husband, Gerald, are four sons and two daughters: Kevin (Julie) Coffey, Julie (Glenn) Olsen, Patrick (Kim) Coffey, John (Robin) Coffey, William (fiancée, Lisa) Coffey, Rebecca (Todd) LaPlante; 23 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters: James Dilloway, Donald Dilloway, Daniel Dilloway, Freida Hamond, Barbara Green, and Linda Pollitt. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Dilloway. FUNERAL: Teresa's Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, April 20, 2012, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. Teresa will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
