Obituary of Shirley Ann Gadd

Passed away peacefully on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. She was 93 years old. Shirley Ann Kaiser was born on October 31, 1924 in Saginaw to the late Louis and Anna (Christener) Kaiser. She was a proud 1942 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Jack D. Gadd on June 26, 1943 in Fresno, California; he preceded her in death on April 3, 2006. Shirley was a charter member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She worked for JCPenney at Green Acres Plaza as an office manager, retiring with over 20 years of service. Above all, she loved and cherished her family. She will forever be remembered for her quiet loving nature and her indomitable spirit. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate staff at Edgewood Assisted Living, Covenant Healthcare - Cooper and the Cartwright Hospice Residence for all the love and care they provided to Shirley as well as to the family.
Surviving are two daughters and one son: Annajo (Richard) Hallerman of Plymouth, Steven (Anita) Gadd of Williamsburg, MI and Michele Gadd of Saginaw; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Gadd of Saginaw; three grandchildren: Lauren (John) Neyer, Robert (Shevona) Hallerman, and Nichole (Stephan) Mullinax; and four great-grandchildren: Sydney and Madeline Neyer and Ryder and Shya Hallerman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Gadd; a son, Timothy Gadd, a granddaughter, Kristen Hallerman; and a grandson, Justin Gadd.
FUNERAL: A Committal Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Oakwood Mausoleum 5950 Gratiot Road. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate.
VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at Oakwood Mausoleum from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
