Bieri, Marie of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. She was 98 years old. Marie Pauline Weber was born on September 3, 1919 to the late Adolph and Pauline Weber. She married Gottlieb Bieri, Jr. on April 26, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan. He preceded her in death on May 19, 1986. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1939. Marie was the co-founder of Bieri Hearing Specialists and enjoyed 60 years of service. As a devoted catholic, she was a loyal member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Marie was a volunteer at Catholic Federal Credit Union and a member of the Quota Club International. Marie always found the right gift to brighten the day. She often surprised co-workers at Bieri Hearing with a new tote on their birthday. Marie and Gottie had wonderful times traveling in the states and to Europe, and Hawaii. They also enjoyed their trips to Mexico with best friends, Clark and Mary Ardern; including driving from Saginaw to Mexico City, Mexico in the late 1950s. Marie delighted in in her family and friends. She is survived by son, James (Jeanne) Bieri; daughter, Catherine Bieri Ryan; grandchildren: Ann (Brian) Blizzard, Michael (Michelle) Bieri, Alex (Allison) Bieri, Shaun Ryan; step-granddaughters: Melanie (Jason) Sherrer, Kristen (Eric) Van Dyke, Stephanie (Jeff) Wolpert, and Emily (Matthew) Anaya; several great-grandchildren; goddaughter, Sally Ross; sister-in-law, Clare Weber; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are many friends, especially Lynn Bucher and Sonia Borisow, and everyone from Bieri Hearing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Gottlieb; two sons, Daniel and Donald; and three brothers: Carl, Paul, and Leo (Helen) Weber; and sister, Mary Ann (Ralph) Mikolaiczak. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn. Rev. Fr. William Taylor will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends will visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place at the funeral home on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. Marie will be taken to the church to lie in state on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
