Uncle Del achieved success, lived well, laughed often, enjoyed and shared his desserts and loved his family much. He looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. God has blessed him and our Van Dis family with many years of happy memories. We so miss the treasured laughter of Mel & Del! We are grateful for his wonderful life and will always appreciate and live by the joy that Uncle Del and Auntie Gin so generously shared. Our prayers and love from our hearts for Auntie Gin, Jill, Doug, Jan and all your dear ones.
Craig and Sarah DeNooyer

Mr. G. was the most wonderful mentor I have ever had. He taught me so many things during my years of working for him at Landmark Savings and Loan. He always was using his vast knowledge to teach everyone the many things that he knew about business and life. He always watched out for us "young kids" and made sure we were making the best use of our time, all the time teaching us valuable life lessons. I also had the pleasure of seeing Mr. G and Ginny the past several years as they lived a few apartments away form my mother and father. Mr. G and Ginny opened their doors and friendship to my parents and made my parents feel very much at home at McBrite Manor. After my father passed away they still watched out for my mother. They were a blessing to many and will be missed by many. Prayers for Ginny and family.

Del you were my "Business Father" after taking me under your wing and pointing me in a direction that I will never ever forget. In 1977, after Kim and I bought our first house, I asked you a question, "what is this appraisal fee that I have to pay in my closing statement?" You look at me and said, "your a teacher, you have the summers off, do you know anything about home construction?" When I stated that my father was an electrician and that I've been in many a crawl space and attic, your eyes lite up and said, "well I have a possible summer job for you." The next thing I knew, three weeks later I was in a two week appraisal class at the University of Kentucky. The rest is history thanks to you. In 1984 I left teaching and opened The Davis Appraisal Company with your Landmark Savings and Loan being my first client. Thank you again for all that you did for my family and I. You and Ginny will always be etched in my memory. God bless you, you fellow Lutheraner and my Business Father.

I had the most fortunate opportunity to know Del. We met 6 years ago at McBrite Manor.
As fellow Broncos, we talked a great deal about WMU Athletics and Kalamazoo.
He was like a father figure to me and I will miss him!
Ginny, you had the best! I will be praying for you, your daughters, and all who loved him.
God Bless,
Sue Bendix
