Flegenheimer, Marjorie McGinn
Saginaw Township, Michigan
Marjorie McGinn Flegenheimer, 92, of Saginaw Township, celebrated life from May 20, 1925 until November 9, 2017. She passed away at her home, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was born on May 20, 1925 in New York City to the late Edward B. and Florence (Bernhardt) McGinn. She married Ernest Flegenheimer on June 7, 1952 in New York City. Following Ernest's career in the sugar industry, together they moved to Wisconsin and then to Michigan, making Saginaw their home. Marge was a member of First Congregational Church, The Saginaw Club and Crystal Downs Country Club in Frankfort, Michigan. She was a past member of Saginaw Country Club and Sailfish Point Country Club in Stuart, Florida. She was an avid gardener, reader, tennis player and Green Bay Packers fan. She also enjoyed dancing, painting and conversation. Marge always rooted for the underdog and will be remembered for her generous spirit which touched many lives.
Marge cherished her summers at the family cottage on Crystal Lake in Beulah, Michigan. It was here where she created a legacy for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, filled with memories too numerous to count. Marge's adventurous spirit, independence and strong will allowed her to travel and experience all that the world has to offer.
Marge will be deeply missed by her family; husband, Ernest; four children: Ellen (Frank) Riggle, Lori (Tom) Deisler, Eric (Libby) Flegenheimer and Mark (Anne) Flegenheimer; ten grandchildren: Adrienne (Ray Diehl) Oakley, Alyssia (Jeff) Leggett, Zach (fiancée, Sarah Muntzing) Riggle, Shelby Riggle, Ryan (Jennifer) Deisler, M.D., Andrew (Ashley) Deisler, Jessica Deisler, Graeme Flegenheimer, Trevor and Katie Flegenheimer; four great-grandchildren: Jake and Taylor Oakley, Mackenzie and Avery Leggett, and great-grandson Deisler expected in December. She is also survived by her nephew, Moncef Bouhafa; dear cousins, Joan Devins and Susan Blackwood; and Odie Lee Harris, her special angel.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorothy Bouhafa; and nephew, Faris Bouhafa.
The family wishes to thank her loving caregivers, Sharon, Meaghan, Tyan and Mary, who were always by her side.
