Fobear, Junior "JR" of Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at HealthSource-Saginaw with his family by his side. He was 88 years old. The son of Julius Fobear and Harriet (Turloff) (Fobear) Hildebrandt, was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 14, 1929 residing here all his life. Junior retired from Sheet Metal Local 7-3 after 47 years of service, and was a Charter Member of St. Helen Catholic Church serving as a past member of the Men's Club as an Usher. He married Margaret Ann Pignatelli who predeceased him in April 2015, serving as a faithful husband of 64 years. Leaving to cherish his memories are two sons and three daughters: Gerald "Gary" Fobear, Thomas Fobear, Mary Ellen (Joseph) Freyre, Jennifer (Jim) Freeman, and Margaret (Margie) Fobear, all of Saginaw, Michigan. He leaves his five dearly loved grandchildren: Sara Platko, Peter (Allison) Vargas, James Freeman, Johnathan Freeman, and Emily Vargas; four great-grandchildren: Anthony and Aaron Platko, Emma Freeman, and Isaac Vargas. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Junior was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Deborah (Fobear) Platko; his only brother, Edward Fobear; and sister-in-law, Pearl Fobear. Junior was a lifelong servant dedicated to his family, relatives, church and profession. He expressed an unending commitment to fulfill his responsibilities with examples of love through his generosity with a glad and giving heart for "God loves a cheerful giver," and Junior loved the Lord, living by his word. The Family wishes to especially thank the staff of HealthSource Great Lakes Unit and Dr. Kuligowski for the loving and special care given to Junior through the past years. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends and family are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017. A Vigil Service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, led by Pastoral Associate, Tori Little. Junior will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, the Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of the donor's choice.
