Salamon, Wilma E. of Saginaw Township, Michigan Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away unexpectedly at her son's home with her family by her side on Thursday, June 29, 2017. She was 83 years old. Wilma Esther Hoobler was born on July 7, 1933 in Louisville, Ohio to the late Vivian S. and Olive (Boyer) Hoobler. She was a proud graduate of Louisville High School. She married Edward Robert Salamon on June 23, 1956 in Canton, Ohio. Wilma was a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and attended New Life Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Solitare, and working on Jigsaw puzzles. She loved reading, especially anything written by Agatha Christie. She will forever be remembered for being a devoted wife and mother. Surviving are husband of 61 years, Edward R. Salamon of Saginaw Township; four sons: John (Tammy) Salamon of Madison, WI, William (Mary) Salamon of Saginaw, James Salamon of Saginaw and Charles (Andrea) Salamon of Saginaw; 11 grandchildren: Sam Salamon and Mark (Sarah) Wolfert, Joshua (Christy) Salamon, Katie (Jeff) Jensen, Zachary Salamon, Courtney Salamon, Reid "Ben" Brandle and Sarina Hicks; five great-grandchildren: Abigail and Josh Salamon, Jr., Kepler and Eloise Jensen, and Vladimir Salamon; and one sister, Helen Sanders of Louisville, OH. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Jeff Ralph will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to New Life Christian Fellowship or St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
