Obituary of Robert Pechtel

Pechtel, Robert H. "Bob" Freeland, Michigan Passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. Robert H. Pechtel was born on September 19, 1936 in Saginaw, MI to the late Harvey and Herta (Krueger) Pechtel. Bob married Nancy Wagner on May 17, 1958 at St. Helen Catholic Church, she survives him. He was a Weighmaster for the Saginaw County Road Commission, retiring after over 35 years of service. Bob was an avid golfer, he also enjoyed spending time with his family hunting at deer camp and fishing. Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy; three children: Melanie (Jack) Pechtel-Arnault, Melinda (David) Maldonado; Michael (Carol) Pechtel; grandchildren: Jacob (Sarah) Pechtel, Allie and Noah Maldonado, Jonathon and Sarah Pechtel; two great grandchildren: Maverik and Kolt; brother, Bill (Vicki) Pechtel; many nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, neighbors and extended family. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Nancy Williamson. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Bob will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Deacon Adam Maher will officiate. Following the funeral service, cremation will take place. VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the funeral home from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
