Obituary of Consuelo Rappley

Rappley, Consuelo "Connie" of Bridgeport Twp., Michigan
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Friday, April 14, 2017. She was 70 years old. Consuelo Lucio was born on January 25, 1947 in Saginaw, MI to the late Herbert G. and Dolores M. (Soria) Lucio. She married Thomas W. Rappley Sr. on July 11, 1970 in Birch Run, Michigan; he survives her. She was a faithful member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, St Christopher site. Connie retired from Delphi after over 30 years of service. Connie loved to golf, bowl and take trips to the Casino. She also loved to camp with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Rappley, Sr.; sons: Thomas W. Rappley Jr. and Michael C. Rappley; granddaughter, Haley M. Rappley (whom she loved to shop with) and another granddaughter expected in May, Aria Jean Rappley; siblings: William R. (Diann) Lucio Sr., Joseph (Cathy) Hickey and Julie (Thomas) Mossner; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary and Fred Damsen, Ray and Glenna Rappley, Steve and Carol Rappley and Rita Rappley. Connie is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents: Herbert G. and Dolores M. Lucio; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Robert and Kay Rappley; an infant daughter, Rebecca Rappley; two brothers: Herbert Lucio Jr. and Jesus Guadalupe "Jesse" Lucio; infant sister, Rebecca Lucio; and brother-in-law, Robert Rappley Jr.
FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher Catholic Church, 3945 Williamson Road, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Thomas Schmied, OFM Cap will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral Mass and Connie's cremated remains will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
VISITATION: Friends and family are welcome to visit from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). A Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday lead by Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel. Connie will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher Catholic Church or Compassus Hospice.
