Obituary of William S. Lathrop

Lathrop, William S. "Bill" of Saginaw Township Our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 27, 2017 at his home. William Scott Lathrop, 31 years old, was born on November 29, 1985 in Saginaw, Michigan to James C. and Pamela J. (Wertz) Lathrop. He was a proud 2004 graduate of Heritage High School. Following graduation, Bill attended Delta College. He was employed by Shattuck Manor, Barnes and Noble and most currently with Morley Travel as a Marketing Support Web Chat Representative. Bill's life and passion revolved around physical fitness and exercise. He was also an avid comic book collector. Bill had the innate ability to make people laugh and smile. His kindness was infectious and he brought joy to the lives of anyone he encountered. Bill will forever be remembered for being a beacon of light to those in need, helpful and kind to any he met, and for his strong indomitable spirit. Simply put, Bill will always remain priceless to his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Pamela J. Lathrop of Saginaw Township; his father, James C. Lathrop M.D. of Ardmore, TN; one brother, Charles B. (Jennifer) Lathrop of Midland; one niece, Lillian J. Lathrop. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Honoring Bill's wishes cremation will follow the service. VISITATION: Friends are welcome visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
