DEMO, William "Bill" P. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 02, 2017 at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was 88 years old. William Paul Demo was born on January 21, 1929 in Saginaw to the late Clifford and Margaret (Kretz) Demo. He married Lois Lorain McNeely on November 17, 1951; she survives him. Bill graduated from Cass City High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Saginaw and began his career as a Millwright. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking, woodworking, making wine, and tinkering. Bill truly enjoyed helping others; just last year, he was in the Saginaw News for participating with community cleanup. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Lois; six children: Daniel (Bridget), Diane (Thom) Kuzilla, Patrick (Brenda), Teresa (Patrick) Rapp, Jennifer (Bob) Demo-Corne, and Jonathan (Jana); 15 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four sisters: Shirley, Dorothy and twins Jean & Joan; brother-in-law, Larry (Jan) Malace; and life-long friend: Moke Lovay. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave. Rev. Fr. Ronald J. Dombrowski will officiate with Deacon Roger Pasionek assisting. Directly following Mass, military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the VFW Post #1859. Private Rite of Committal in St. Andrew Cemetery will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society and the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
