Obituary of Sara Juarez

Juarez, Sara of Saginaw Township, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, an aunt passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2017, at Samaritas Senior Living of Saginaw with her family by her side. She was 68 years old. Sara Ramirez was born on December 15, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to Jesus and Petra (Davila) Ramirez. She married the love of her life and beloved soul mate, Paul Juarez in January 1973; he survives her. She was a fabulous cook, especially known for her Spanish rice, and enjoyed preparing meals for all family celebrations and holidays. She enjoyed gardening and going to the casino. She will forever be remembered for her amazing radiant energy and illuminating light to all her loving family and wonderful friends.
Surviving are husband of 44 years, Paul Juarez of Saginaw Township; four sons and four daughters: Tino (Claudia) Ramirez, Paul Juarez, Jr., Felipe Juarez, Richard (Cynthia) Juarez, Cynthia (Tomas) Betancourt, Rachel (Antonio) Aguilar, Angelina (Brian) Parcham, and Christina (Chae) Riley; 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her mother, Petra Ramirez; two brothers and three sisters: Oralia (Mario) Castillo, Zulema (Frank) Garcia, Jesus Ramirez, Jr., Mary (Jim) Burton, and George (Karin) Ramirez; special friends Irene (Joe) Maldonado and Diane (Jerry) Krugielki. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, compadres and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Ramirez; a nephew, Alejandro Suttles.
FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State Street. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Michigan Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
