Obituary of Roberto G. Garcia
Please share a memory of Roberto to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Sunday January 8, 2017, at Covenant Medical Center-Harrison, surrounded by his family. He was 60 years old. Roberto was born on July 21, 1956 in Hart, Michigan to Valentine M. and Juanita (Guzman) Garcia. He proudly served his country on active duty as a United States Marine for 4 years and then continued his faithful service in the United States Navy & Army Reserve for 11 years. He also worked for CSX and Central Michigan Railroad as a Forman and a welder.
Roberto loved to spend time with "his boys" watching Michigan Football, barbecuing, showing them how to fix things, and how to cook. He will forever be remembered for his unconditional love and the best bear hugs. He was truly the Patriarch of the Garcia Family.
Roberto is survived by his sons: Alberto (Estara) Garcia, Roberto (Serena) Garcia, and Abel (Lilly) Garcia; grandchildren: Jose, Christian, Adrien, Xavier, Abel, and Baby Boy Garcia due in April of 2017; mother, Juanita Vallejo; sisters: Sulema Medina, Elvira Garcia, Maryann (Juan) Silvestre, Diana Garcia, Juanita Rodriguez, and Isabel (Daniel) Elias; brothers: Valentine (Maryann) Garcia, and Nieves Garcia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Valentine M. Garcia and his brother, Jesus Garcia.
