Berard, Bradley E. Saginaw, MI Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 3, 2016. He was 67 years old. Bradley Ellis Berard was born on September 27, 1949 in Saginaw, MI. Brad proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy on the USS Henderson during Vietnam from 1968-1972. Brad worked for Saginaw Steering Gear for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He loved to ride his Harley Davison, touring the entire country during his retirement. Brad was a member of the Saginaw Gun Club, U.A.W Local #699 and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He also was an avid collector of pipes and cigars. Brad is survived by his mother, Muriel Spitz; sister, June (Mike) Bouvrette; brother, Robert Spitz; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Spitz. According to Brad's wishes cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome to visit on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Private entombment will be held at Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to their favorite charity in Brad's memory.
