Pretzer, Norman "Norm" L. of Saginaw Township, Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 21, 2016 with his family by his side. He was 70 years old. Norman L. Pretzer was born in Saginaw, Michigan on November 18, 1946 to Norman L. and Mary L. (Toth) Pretzer. He married the love of his life, Debra Sue Bernard, whom he loved to the moon and back, on July 28, 1972; she survives him. Norm was employed and retired from General Motors, serving as a coordinator. He was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church, and actively served the congregation in various capacities. Norm was a current member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He was a true giving gardener, generously giving whatever he grew to family, friends and neighbors. In many respects, Norm was a natural helper and he had a brilliant mind for fixing computers. He also enjoyed riding his Kawasaki motorcycle. Norm also appreciated some of the finer things in life, like a good meal or piece of pie at home, or going out to dinner with his family and friends. Above all, he loved and cherished his family, especially his granddaughter, Zoey, whom he loved from the depths of the ocean, to the heights of the sky, and forever and forever. She made him so happy and proud that he participated in all aspects of her life, school events, and a summer softball league. He will forever be remembered for his kind-heartedness and his loving and his invincible soul. Surviving are his beloved wife, Debra S. Pretzer of Saginaw; a daughter, Melissa Pretzer of Saginaw; a son, Matthew Pretzer of Saginaw; one granddaughter, Zoey Pretzer of Saginaw; a mother, Mary Pretzer of Saginaw; a brother, Gary Pretzer of Hemlock; a very special friend, George (Susan) Loesel of Sarasota, Florida; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Brad (Pam) Bernard, Kristi Bernard, Cyndi (Pete) Billings, Sue Kohl, and Daryl (Laura) Bernard.
