Kula, Shirley J. of Bay City, Michigan Our beloved mother went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Toni & Trish House. She was 84 years old. Shirley J. Bresk was born on October 4, 1932 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Raymond Charles and Eva Helen (Barnier) Bresk. She married Terrence Michael Kula on April 19, 1975 in Bay City, he preceded her in death on November 7, 2004. Shirley was employed as a waitress at Terry and Jerry's "O'Sole Mio" for many years. Her passion and love of flowers lead her to open her own flower shoppe, the Flower Box in Bay City from 1976 to 1997. All those that knew Shirley knew she had a strong faith and loved the Lord. She was a faithful member of Hopevale Church. Shirley was a gifted and talented artist and will forever leave the world a better place simply because of all the beauty she created throughout her life. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters: Deborah Jo Dingman, Darla (Mark) Pawlak, both of Bay City; two granddaughters: Andria (Greg) Kroening of Jacksonville, FL, Wendy Jo Arnold of Brighton, MI; two treasured great-granddaughters: Layla Irene and Grace Marie Arnold; and sister Lois "TeeDee" Daoust of Grand Rapids. Also surviving are many nephews, nieces and cousins who all loved her dearly. Besides her husband Terry, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dennis Neil Dingman; one sister and three brothers: Madeline "Pat" O'Farrell, Virgil C. Maxson, Forrest W. Maxson, Leroy B. Maxson. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Hopevale Church, 4873 N. Center Rd. Rev. Dan Davis will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A private burial has taken place at St. Patrick Cemetery in Bay City, Michigan. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy other than flowers, may consider memorials to the wishes of the family c/o Darla J. Pawlak.
