Raupp, Margaret Ann Saginaw Twp., Michigan Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. She was 88 years old. Margaret Ann McEwen was born on March 4, 1928 in Owosso, MI to the late Roy Sr. and Mary (Lindsay) McEwen. She attended elementary school in L'Anse, MI and moved to Saginaw when she was 12. Margaret then attended South Middle School and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1946. During her high school years she enjoyed playing the clarinet in the high school band. Following graduation Margaret attended St. Mary's School of Nursing. She married Russell H. Raupp on August 7, 1948 at First Presbyterian Church in Saginaw. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2005. Margaret was a faithful member of Countryside Trinity Church. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Margaret shared her love with her family by creating many sewing projects and making family dinners. She also enjoyed golfing, traveling, wintering in Florida and spending summers at Point Lookout. Margaret is survived by her children: Russell R. Raupp of Saginaw, Mary Kay (Fred) Metzger of Oldsmar, FL, Dennise (Mark) Nagle of Midland, Ann Marie (Dan) Larson of Thomas Twp., Marsha (Dean) Bauman of Thomas Twp.; 11 grandchildren: Kelly (Dan) Myer, Justin (Dawn Bennett) Chapman, Ryan (Amy) Chapman, Matthew (Megan Rosek) Nagle, Katina (Ethan) Cooper, Sara Larson, Becky (Nic) Sulfridge, Mary (Jordan) Pietras, Michelle (Ken) Olinger, Angie (Chad) Hugo and Jamie (Jason) Trumble; ten great grandchildren, Owen Myer, Caleb Nagle, Karson Chapman, Kate and Isaac Sulfridge, Emma and Lydia Olinger, Peyton Hugo, Dean and Vivian Trumble. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great grandson, Liam Hugo; sister, Marilyn Cummings; and brothers, Roy McEwen Jr. and Donald McEwen. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you the staff of Covenant VNA Hospice and Cartwright Hospice Residence for their supportive care provided for Margaret. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Margaret will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State) Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
