Obituary of Frances Peters
Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Cartwright Hospice Residence, surrounded by her family. She was 84 years old. Frances Horn was born on June 19, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Wilhelm and Anna (Dinse) Horn. She married Richard H. Peters on September 11, 1954; he survives her.
Frances graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1950. She was a secretary and volunteer at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church. She continued her volunteerism in the community and took responsibly as a leader at the Temple Theater with ushering for special events as well as at Pit & Balcony. Frances was a member of the Saginaw Historical Society at Castle Museum and was a life member of the Masonic Order of the Eastern Star.
In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards and traveling with her husband, Richard. Frances loved nothing more than spending time with her family, who appreciated her infectious laughter.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 62 years, Richard; three daughters and one son: Kathleen Peters, Sharon (Brian) Wisniewski, John (Paula Jo) Peters, and Laura (Scott) Sinclair; five grandchildren: Daniel Pidgeon, Bridget (Mark) Morrison, Megan Peters, Matt Sinclair, and Adam Sinclair; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Eric Sinclair; sister and brother-in-law, Elsie (Don) Jansen; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris (Morris) Sykes.
