Obituary of Kathryn Lisa Best

Best, Kathryn "Kat" L. of Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Friday, August 5, 2016. She was 42 years old. Kathryn Lisa Carr was born on March 21, 1974 in Durban, South Africa to Peter John Russell and Lesley Carr. She married the love of her life and soulmate, Brant William Best on January 1, 2013; he survives her. She lived life with passion and purpose and was loved and cherished by all. Simply put, Kat could light up a room just by walking into it. She will forever be remembered for her kind, generous and gentle spirit, as well as all the love she had in her heart for her step-daughter, Josie, whom she loved to the moon and back, her cats, Max and Louis, and the many friends she made throughout her journey. Surviving are her husband, Brant W. Best of Saginaw; a step-daughter, Josie Best of Saginaw; mother, Lesley Carr of South Africa; three brothers and two sisters: Keith Muller, Angelique Barnard, Melissa Powell, Gerald Russell, and Kenny Russell; two aunts: Bernice Thomson and Jo Orr-Bosman; Also surviving are many special friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Peter John Russell. Honoring Kat's wishes cremation has taken place.
