Obituary of Timothy James Brennan

Brennan, Timothy "Tim" James of Saginaw, Michigan
Our beloved companion, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. He was 67 years old. Timothy James Brennan was born on August 19, 1948 in Saginaw to the late Robert Edward and Delores Mae (Alles) Brennan. He was a proud 1966 graduate of Arthur Hill School. Following graduation, Tim attended Great Lakes Junior College. He then began working for General Motors Grey Iron Foundry, retiring in 1996 with over 25 years of service. Upon retirement, Tim began working for Saginaw County Commission on Aging, serving the Saginaw Community for 10 years. For 18 years, Tim shared an impeccable and indescribable relationship with the love of his life Susan Hamlin. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #22, the Kosciuszko Club, the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association and a member of the Catholic faith. Tim was passionate about reading and enjoyed working out in his yard. Above all, he loved and cherished his family and friends. He will forever be remembered for his patriotism as well as for the type of humor most people would love to obtain.
Surviving are his beloved companion of 18 years, Susan Hamlin of Saginaw; four children: Christopher (Geraldine) Brennan of Grand Rapids, Kelly (Scott) Kelting of Ada, Jessica (Timm) Cappell of Hemlock, and Patrick Brennan of Freeland; four step-children: Patrick Hamlin and his fiancée, Amy Gale of Freeland, Adam (Colette) Hamlin of Mt. Pleasant, Nick Hamlin of Norfolk, VA, and Seth Hamlin and his fiancée, Gigi Smith of Saginaw; 10 grandchildren: Casey Kelting, Cameron Kelting, Ryan Cappell, Hayden Hamlin, Hannah Hamlin, Taryn Brennan, Isabella Brennan, Audrina Smith, Christian Brennan, Caitlin Brennan; three sisters and two brothers: Mary Jo Wright, Daniel Brennan, Kathleen Lindeman, Dean (Dianne) Brennan, and Diane (Joseph) Archambault; Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Vigil Service led by Sr. Elaine Raymond will take place at 6:00 p.m. Honoring Tim's wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Tim's life will take place at a later date.
