Obituary of Ward G. Glasser

Glasser, Ward G. of Saginaw, Michigan Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at his home. He was 79 years old. Ward G. Glasser was born on July 15, 1936 in Wisner, Michigan to the late Byron and Mary (Broecker) Glasser. He was a proud graduate of St. Paul Lutheran School in Unionville. Following graduation, Ward began working for General Motors, retiring after 35 years of service as a tool maker. He was an avid Euchre player and enjoyed line dancing. Ward also loved traveling, especially taking yearly trips to Florida. Above all, he loved and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are three sons and a daughter: Brad Glasser of Kalamazoo, Jim (Wanda) Glasser of Bridgeport; John (Darlene) Glasser of Midland, and Julie (Mark) Young of Freeland; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Mark (Joan) Glasser of Bay City; and two nephews: Jeff (Kristen) Glasser and Gregg (Nicole) Glasser. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Rob Schmidt will officiate. Honoring Ward's wishes cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Service.
