Lauka, Kathleen Ann of Saginaw, Michigan formerly of Fairgrove, Michigan Passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was 75 years old. Kathleen Ann Maupin was born on June 21, 1940 in Caro, Michigan to the late Charles and Marjorie (Stock) Maupin. She was a 1958 graduate of Akron-Fairgrove High School. She married Harold F. Wolverton, he preceded her in death on February 23, 2000. She married Robert S. Lauka on May 14, 2005 in Saginaw; he survives her. She was employed as a certified nursing aid for 37 years at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. She was a faithful member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church where she served on the Woman's Auxilary and actively participated in the choir. She was a boardmember of SAWA and served as treasure. Surviving are her husband, Robert S. Lauka of Saginaw; a daughter, Catherine M. (Charles) Cogo of Canton; a son, Brian F. (Michelle) Wolverton of Canton; three step-sons and one step-daughter: Robert (Denise) Lauka, Jr., Stephen (MaryAnn) Lauka, John (Julie) Lauka, and Susan (Vernon) Brown; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Dunham; one brother-in-law, Matthew Zechmeister; and a sister-in-law, Norma Maupin. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Maupin and James Maupin; brother-in-law, George Dunham; and a sister, Margie Lee Zechmeiseter. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 2525 Hemmeter Rd. Rev. Jeff Bonn will officiate. Honoring Kathleen's wishes cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
