Bardin, Gerald T. of Saginaw, Michigan Went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 08, 2016 at the age of 70. Gerald Thomas Bardin was born on April 28, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky and has been preceded in death by his parents: Ward W. and Blanche L. (Gordon) Wilcox. One of Gerald's nephews called him, "a self-taught man who never gave up", which was very true. Loyal, dedicated and enduring for the cause. Gerald loved and cherished spending time with the love of his life, his beautiful wife and partner, Mary J. Bardin. They were married on April 21, 2007; he leaves her behind to carry on the love of riding their Harley and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ with their fellow riders in the CMA. He was a faithful member of Swan Valley United Methodist Church and was dedicated, as well as loved, helping with all their outdoor work. Gerald will be forever remembered for being a wonderful husband and a friend to many. Surviving are his wife, Mary Jeanette Bardin of Saginaw, Michigan; his children: Laura (Richard) Brewer of Oscoda, Christina Schermerhorn of Bay City, Rebecca (Toby) Macklin of Gladwin, Angela (Michael) Bowser of Goltry, Oklahoma, Sherry Volz of Gaffney, South Carolina, Gerald T. Bardin, Jr. of Linwood, and April (Brad) Schatzer of Bay City; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother: Kitty Wilcox of Oceanside, California, E. Jane Kennedy of Saginaw, and Ward Wilcox, III of Camden; sisters-in-law: Sherry May Bardin of Troy, TN, and Linda Bardin of Saginaw. Gerald stood strong as he helped usher his other family members on their journey to heaven sister-in-law, Janice Wilcox; brother-in-law, Jerry Kennedy; and three brothers: James R. Bardin, Lonny R. Bardin, and William L. Bardin. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Swan Valley United Methodist Church, 9265 Geddes Road. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Honoring Gerald's wishes cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
