Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Passed away peacefully on October 21, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. She was 79 years old. Barbara Bryce was born on January 12, 1936 to the late Orris V. and Veronica (Malecki) Bryce. She married Thomas G. Westhoff Sr. on June 12, 1954, he survives her. Barbara loved to care for her home and always looked her best. In her younger years she enjoyed working as a beautician. She was a faithful member of the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption and a member of the Red Hats. Barbara was a life-long learner and enjoyed continuing her education.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Westhoff, Sr.; son, Thomas G. (Kimberly) Westhoff, Jr., and Tom's children: Tom III, Wesley, Mary and Joseph; son, Steven (Lynn) Westhoff and their children: Natalie and Brenna; son, Mitchell (Crystelle) Westhoff and their son, Alexander; and daughter, Connie (Tony) Mancillas and their children, Nathaniel (Marissa) and Spencer (Lindsey); siblings: Genevieve Baumgartner, Kathy Chernich, Rick Bryce, Gary Bryce, John Bryce, Joanie Hall, David (Tori) Bryce and Tim (Roxanne) Bryce; sisters-in-law: Helen, Dorothy and Diane Bryce; brother-in-law, Daniel Cline; many nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Deborah Varney; dear family friends: Jim and Jackie Sullivan and Leo Simmons.
Barbara was preceded in death by: her parents; step-mother, Ruth Bryce; siblings: Beatrice Kellogg, Eugene Bryce, Jimmy Bryce, Judy Cline and Tommy Bryce; brothers-in-law: George Baumgartner, Morris Duby, Marvin Kellogg and Bob Chernich.
FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy for Barbara will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, 615 Hoyt Ave., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Ronald F. Wagner will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery.
VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
