Obituary of Bonnie Vasey

Vasey, Bonnie "Bon Bon"of Saginaw Township, Michigan Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away with her family by her side, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper. She was 67 years old. Bonnie Barbara Bailey was born on March 3, 1948 in Saginaw. She married the love of her life John W. Vasey on September 28, 1968 in Saginaw, he survives her. She was employed by Sullivan's Restaurant as a server for over 20 years. Bonnie also owned and operated Bonnie's Brite 'N Clean Laundromat in Bridgeport. She enjoyed making and sharing memories with her grandchildren, especially coloring, some winning awards. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Bonnie was a beautiful selfless soul and formed many special bonds throughout her life, especially with her father. Above all, Bonnie loved and cherished her husband, children and grandchildren and her many nicknames, "Grandma Scooter" and "Grandma Bonnie". She will forever be remembered for her kind and giving spirit. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, John W. Vasey of Saginaw Township; two daughters and one son, Jenny (Mark) Rankin of Thomas Township, Barbie Vasey of Saginaw, and Jeremy (Sarah) Vasey of Freeland; nine grandchildren: Samantha, Ali, Austin, Ashlee, Cameron, Cianna, Connor, Jacob, and Easton; one great-grandson: Carson; two brothers and a sister: Gary (Sharon) Bailey of National City, Cheryl Bailey of Saginaw, and Mark (Amy) Bailey of Okemos. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James Bailey; and her mother and step-father, Margaret (Edward) Jarlock. FUNERAL: A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
