Obituary of Joan M. Brandimore

Brandimore, Joan M. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital with her family by her side. She was 85 years old. Joan M. Edwards was born on April 10, 1930 in Saginaw to the late Dennis and Elenora (Swartz) Edwards. She married her beloved husband James A. Brandimore on April 19, 1952, celebrated 58 wonderful years of marriage until his death on July 19, 2010. She was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School and was of the Catholic Faith. Besides being a homemaker most of her life, she did work for Michigan Bell as a telephone operator for 12 years and six years with Kreager Towing. Above all, Joan loved and cherished her family, especially spending time with her great-grandchildren. Surviving are a daughter, Sandy Harris of Saginaw; three granddaughters; Kristen Harris of Saginaw, Stephanie (Matthew) Filer of Saginaw, and Katie Harris of Saginaw; three adored great-grandchildren with one due in January 2016: Parker, Charlie and Mylah Filer; one brother and two sisters: Marge, Marilyn and Duane. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lee Brandimore; and three sisters and a brother: Donna, Bill, Shirley and Lorraine. A Memorial Luncheon to Celebrate Joan's life will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2015 in her home beginning at 12:00 p.m. (noon).
