Obituary of Jack Melvin Deisig

Deisig, Jack Melvin Indiantown, Michigan Jack passed away peacefully at his home, surround by his family celebrating his life, on Monday, August 24, 2015. He was 88 years old. Jack Melvin Deisig was born on March 16, 1927 on the family farm to the late Melvin Dyke Charles and Leona Henrietta Bessie (Emendorfer) Deisig. He married Suzanne Martin on April 4, 1948. She survives him. Jack was raised on his family's farm and continued to reside there his entire life. During that time he was awarded Michigan Farmer of the Year in 1972. Jack was one of the original founders and investors for the Reese CO-OP. He served as a director for the Federal Land Bank and on the board of the Buena Vista Township Zoning Board. Jack was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church on Federal in Saginaw. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends, and he touched so many people during his incredible life and will be deeply missed. Jack has left a legacy of love for his wife, Suzanne; children: Scott, Jeffrey (Linda), Eric (Nancy), Melinda Deisig, Melissa (Michael) Trombley and Matthew (Dawn) Deisig; grandchildren: Brent (Carrie), Benjamin (Nicole), Seth (Janelle) and Grant Deisig, Jordan, Kyle (Leisel Eichenmuller) and Lance (Ashley) Deisig, Laura and Devin Deisig, Delaney Deisig, Ross (Sydney), Kramer, Elliot and Ilove Trombley, Catalina Cardona, Fox, Robin and Lily Deisig; great grandchildren: Andrew, Jeremy, Nicholas, Sarah, Kaden, Levi, Landon, Easton, Everett, Luke, Jackson and Emory; sisters: Peggy Bransdorfer and Jean Kenel; and his faithful beagle, Max. Jack was preceded in death by his infant brother, William Deisig. Jack's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Krista Fassone and Mark McMann for all of their support, care and loving friendship. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Jack will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, 915 Federal, Saginaw. Rev. Connie Sassanella will officiate. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Township Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Jack will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John Lutheran Church - Breakfast for the Hungry or the Deisig family wishes.
