Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Comadre, Madrina and friend peacefully entered the Kingdom of God on July 27, 2015, at the age of 89 years. The daughter of the late Jose and Catalina (Trevino) Guevara, Beatriz was born on October 23, 1925 in Laredo, Texas. In September of 1951 she married her loving husband, Ricardo Valle, and moved to Saginaw where they made their home; he preceded her in death in 1979. Beatriz retired from Saginaw Public Schools after 32 years of service as a classroom aide and 17 summers as an aide in the Saginaw Migrant-Bilingual Program. During her years of service she touched many lives. She was well known and respected by staff, students and parents and was affectionately known as, "Aunt Bea". Beatriz was proud to call St. Joseph Catholic Church home and parishioners her family for 64 years; she was a member of the Women's Club, The Alabare Prayer Group, the Charismatic Renewal and the Damas de Guadalupe serving as president in 1979. She also promoted and organized Spanish Retreats at the former Queen of Angels Retreat House and was a Cursillista. In her early retirement Beatriz enjoyed traveling with friends and visiting her family in Texas and North Carolina. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and her St. Joseph's Bingo, but most importantly she loved her ministry of writing cards and letters to St. Joseph's ill and homebound parishioners and friends. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the amazing staff at Caretel Inn who lovingly cared for Beatriz and compassionately walked this journey with her family. Also the staff at Covenant and Hospice Advantage. Surviving are her children: Ricardo and Marleni Valle of Charlotte, NC, Samuel D. Valle, of Charlotte NC, Elena "Anne"and Oscar C.
