Stefanski, Lyngola "Lynn" K. of Shingleton, Michigan
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was 67 years old. Lyngola "Lynn" Kay Whiddon was born on July 8, 1947 in Midland to the late Albert and Florence (Leppien) Whiddon. She married the love of her life and soulmate, Terry Stefanski on September 30, 1977 in Hemlock; he survives her.
Lynn was faithful to her Catholic faith and believed strongly in the power of prayer. Being a natural caretaker, Lynn worked in the Nursing field throughout her life. She truly had the purist heart of gold. Lynn was full of compassion and had a gentle soul. She was a beacon light to all who knew her, and passed this on to her family. Lynn embodied the essence of beauty, always looking subtly elegant. She was a classy, confident, and kind woman, welcoming all she met with open arms. Lynn had a great sense of humor, a wonderful laugh, and in her own unique way she made her presence known. She will forever be remembered for her exquisite grace, love and devotion to her family and friends. Lynn also enjoyed taking trips to the casino and birdwatching. Above all, Lynn loved and cherished her family, friends and her beloved dog, Gertrude.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Terry Stefanski of Shingleton; a son and two daughters: Bill "William" (Donna) Berthume of Beaverton, Rebecca Berthume Kube and her longtime companion, Roger Berger of Hemlock, and Nicky Berthume Mawhorter of Key West, FL; seven grandchildren: Michael (Jessica) Berthume, Erik Kube, Spencer Wenn, Alex Wenn, Abby Kube, Shianne Berthume, and Matthew "Matty" Berthume; two great-granddaughters: Brystal and Fayelyn Berthume; five sisters: Ella Bauer of Midland, Edna Holzschuh of Sanford, Darlene (Vern) Brown of Chesaning, Barbara Martin of Midland, and Marilyn (Ernie) Wiedyk of Auburn. Also surviving are many brothers- and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
