In his day, Rob was that cheerful, adventuresome, and somewhat irresponsible guy that us younger men envied and the girls all loved. . In his later years, he was one of the half dozen friends I hoped to tie in with on my occasional trips to Michigan. I think of him every time I pull out one of his irons from my golf bag.
