Obituary of Connie J. Muessig

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison on Saturday, May 30, 2015. She was 79 years old. Connie graduated from Midland Dow High School. After graduation, she would hold a career in retail. Connie enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, NASCAR, reading, and puzzles. Connie Jean Woodman was born in Lansing, Michigan on May 20, 1936, the daughter of the late Louis and Dorothy (Cady) Woodman. She married Bill Romiane, father of David Zill; Bill and David preceded her in death. She then married Bob Zill, father of Christina Ruyts, Todd Zill, Penny (Jeffrey) Meacham; Bob survives her. Later, she would then marry Robert Muessig, father of Marta Muessig, Mark Muessig, and Matt Muessig; he survives her. Connie is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Jasson Wardin, Trisha (Jim) Knezek, Shane Ruyts, Sarah Delong, Adam Zill, Samantha (Jon) Meacham, Miranda (Brian) Weidman, Nicholas Meacham, Anna Scholten, Nick Scholten, Taylor Hodson, and Max Muessig; four great-grandchildren; and four brothers: Mike (Connie) Woodman, Rockwell Woodman, Denny Woodman, and Pete Woodman; and many nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends. MEMORIAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Robert Richards officiate. Burial will follow at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Freeland Michigan. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service.
