Obituary of RoseAnn Winchester
Please share a memory of RoseAnn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
RoseAnn (Roz) Winchester was born February 26, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan to Christopher and Antiontte Bommarito. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw and attended Delta College.
She started working at Michigan Bell (AT&T) shortly after graduating high school and launched what became an almost 25 year career with Bell. She was hired as an operator, but quickly advanced and spent the majority of her career in public relations, traveling the area representing Michigan Bell. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club. RoseAnn also attended Powers Modeling School in Detroit and enjoyed many years modeling for Jacobson's in Birmingham & Saginaw.
On Dec 19, 1970 Rose married Fred Winchester in Royal Oak, MI. Fred and Rose called each other the loves of their lives. They enjoyed almost 25 years together until Fred's sudden passing in 1993.
RoseAnn sold real estate for almost 25 years. She started in the Detroit area, but spent the majority of her real estate career in Saginaw Township. She worked for Morgan, Re/Max and enjoyed 20 years at C.M.W. Real Estate. She was a consistent multi-million dollar producer who earned the respect of her both her clients & colleagues.
RoseAnn volunteered at Saginaw General Hospital, the Saginaw Soup Kitchen and was a member of the St. Mary's Auxiliary, Catholic Women's Club and St. Stephen Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing, watching sports (especially the Lions & The Masters), traveling (New York was her favorite), but most importantly she enjoyed her many dear friends and her large, loving family. Roz was a big personality who enriched all of our lives. We will greatly miss her smile, her laugh and her constant love.
She leaves behind her son, Hank Winchester (Jeff Grim) Royal Oak, MI; 2 stepsons, Jay Winchester (Karen) Tampa, FL and Gary (Sandy) Memphis, TN; sister, Catherine (Jim) Shrier East Lansing, MI; brother, Joe (Jane) Bommarito Saginaw, MI; brother-in-law, Tom Cawley (Elsie), sister-in-law, Jane Winchester Memphis, TN; along with many special nieces & nephews, eight Godchildren and Mia Grim, Jeff's daughter, with whom she shared a special relationship.
She was predeceased by her husband Fred, sister, Emma Cawley and brother-in-law, Bob Winchester.
As requested, RoseAnn has been cremated.
