I saw that Dr. Cady had passed when I was looking up the information for a friend who was also at Deisler. Like a few of the respondents, he gave me my first glasses when I was a small child (Now 62). He was acquainted with my parents, James and Frances Kraemer as they were both pharmacists--I remember dad talking "shop" with the doc while I had my appointment. Love his sense of humor, even as a kid. I also remember that office on Jefferson. Also mom and dad knew Don Cady (his brother I think).

To the Cady Family Children:
I am so sorry to not be able to attend the wake or funeral. Your dad and I go back a long way. We served on parish council together and he was my eye doctor for many years. I loved his sense of humor and genuine interest in all of his patients. You have had a very tough experience losing both of your parents in such a short time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am very grateful I had the opportunity of knowing Doctor Fred.

Dr. Cady was my parents, Johnny & Ophelia Bryant's, eye doctor & later he was my (Elaine) eye doctor when his office was on Jefferson Street. I'm 61 years old now. I got my first cat eyed glasses from Dr. Cady when I was in the second grade. He was so funny & he talked so loud. I really enjoyed going to see him. "What a life well-lived!!!" To God Be The Glory!

I was one of Dr. Cady's patients since I was 5 years old (I will be 54 this year). He was the best doctor. He always made me laugh and made me feel like glasses weren't ugly. I remember the office on Hayden and Jefferson and I was sad when they tore it down.
