Obituary of Elsie Quackenbush

Passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Covenant Medical Center - Cooper. She was 80 years old. Elsie Jeanette Dorn was born on July 23, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late William and Barbara (Kelly) Dorn. She married Robert Quackenbush; he survives her. Elsie graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1952 and later, held various office jobs throughout her life. Elsie and Bob were members of the American Legion Post #439 and the Pulaski Hall. In their spare time, they enjoyed traveling wherever and whenever possible, and spent their winters in Florida. Surviving are husband, Robert; brother, Raymond; and step-children; nieces, and nephews. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Rd. Rev. Dr. Robert J. Schulz will officiate. Cremation will follow. VISITATION: Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
