Obituary of Bonnie L. Priest

Priest, Bonnie L. (Cummings) of Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. She was 84 years old. Bonnie Lou Cummings was born on January 23, 1931 in Saginaw to the late Ray and Florence (Sayer) Cummings. She married the love of her life, Victor W. Priest on January 29, 1949 in Saginaw; he preceded her in death on December 28, 1994. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #22 and the Kosciuszko Hall in Saginaw. Above all, Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She cherished and treasured her time with her family. She is survived by her children: Victoria Ruggles (Dennis King) of Saginaw, Allen Thomas (Linda) Priest of Saginaw, and Pamela (Michael) Luick of Owosso; five grandchildren: Thomas "Babe" Ruggles, Bonnie Ruggles, Chrispin P. Barnes, Mark T. Priest (Chris Siminske), Douglas A. (Leane) Priest; seven great grandchildren: Matthew, Brandon, Fernando, Jesus, Alexander, Hunter and Parker; brother, Franklin Cummings of Saginaw; brother-in-law, Lynn Quackenbush; uncle, Leland Sayer of East Tawas. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Quackenbush. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Susan Hand will officiate. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
