Obituary of Dorothy M. Quaal

Dorothy M. Quaal of Hemlock and Saginaw, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. She was 83 years old. Dorothy Marie Siems was born on May 13, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Jack and Maude (Smith) Siems. She married the love of her life, Charles Quaal on November 25, 1950; he preceded her in death on June 29, 2012. Dorothy graduated from Saginaw High School. She worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed watching her grandson race cars and taking her dog, Kodi for rides. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons: David (Sandy) Quaal, Gregg Quaal and girlfriend, Leann Lamb and Kevin Quaal and girlfriend, Julie Waite; two grandchildren: Sarah Rohde and Scott Quaal and girlfriend, Sara Snider; great-granddaughter, Baylee; and nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Charles; three brothers; and one sister. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre for the loving care they gave to their mother. Per Dorothy's request, cremation has taken place.
