Our thoughts and prayers are with the Borrello Family at this sad time. We had the pleasure of being neighbors for many years on Benton Road. My brother, Jim, became good friends with Andre. Lots of great memories! We reconnected in the last year as the Judge and Audre moved in to New Hope Valley Assisted Living joining my father Jim. Small world, ended up being neighbors again! He was a wonderful respected man. A great loss for all of us.

I will sadly miss knowing Judge Borrello is out there making the state a better place. He was a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather. He treated me with great respect and helped me when times were rough. I am honored to have known him and his family all these years. Remember all the great times you shared as a family and it will help make the ache easier.
I will keep you all in my Prayers,

Dear Mrs. Borrello, Stephen, Murray, Andre, Nancy and family. I am so sorry for the loss
of such an amazing man. My Mom called me this morning to let me know. My family
knew how important he was in my life. I had the privilege of knowing and working as his
first Law Clerk for years. He swore me into The State Bar of Michigan. How honored I
was to have my mentor, my supporter and my Judge to swear me in. He made that day
special. I will always cherish the moments I shared with Joan Webber and Judge Borrello. I will continue to thank him for giving me the skills I hold today. He will always
be in my heart and my Judge.
My prayers and thoughts are with you.

I had the honor of knowing and working with Judge Borrello before he was judge as the county attorney and later when he was appointed to the bench. When working with him I was well aware that I was in the company of a great man and leader and was actually in awe of his ability, concern and desire to be a strong public servant. I had many moments of laughter and learning all of which I continue to thank him for to this day.
Steve and family my thoughts are with you.

I met Judge Borrello in October 1990 when I started work for the Michigan Dept. of Corrections as a probation officer for the 10th Circuit Court probation office. He was a mentor to me and other probation staff. What I remember most was his great sense of humor and always fair treatment of those who appeared before him for criminal sentencing. He will surely be missed! My condolences to the Borrello family, all will be kept in my prayers.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to know and work with Judge Borrello. His intellect, sense of humor and professionalism made practicing law in front of him a pleasure. He was a fair judge always striving to make the right decision. We have missed Leo since he left the bench. We were lucky to know him and his family and our thoughts are with you. Lane & Denise Clack

On behalf of the Demetriou Family, please accept our condolences. I have fond memories of practicing many years before Leo. Prior to his taking the bench we worked together on a few labor cases including a complicated NLRB trial. The administrative law judge was very impressed by Judge Borrello's knowledge of the law and federal procedure.
In the context of family law issues Leo had great instincts of a family's situation and was very fair in his opinions and decisions.
My son Adam, who practiced briefly with Steve and Pete Jensen and Dave and Bill, has fond memories of the stories about Leo which he heard while there. He now works for Goldman Sachs in Dallas and sends his condolences as well.
We will be out of the country for the next eight days and unfortunately cannot attend the memorial services.

Honorable Leopold Borrello was my judge back in 2000, he looked past the evidence piled against me and saw my heart. Knowing I wasn't guilty of the crime I was charged with he spared my life. Because of him I was given a second chance, thank you judge Borrello. May you rest in heaven. My prayers are with the Borrello family heaven has called him home.
