Obituary of Lois E. Kleekamp

KLEEKAMP, Lois E. (Schmidt) of Saginaw, MI passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. Lois E. Schmidt was born in Saginaw to the late Alexander and Alma (Wagner) Schmidt. Lois married William (Bill) Kleekamp on February 7, 1959. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2003. Lois was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Saginaw. She enjoyed time spent with the children and staff of Arthur Hill High School working in the cafeteria. Lois is survived by her brothers: Robert (Myrtle) Schmidt, Milton (Colleen) Schmidt, Edwin (Joyce) Schmidt, Larry (Margaret) Schmidt and Gary Schmidt; many nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Thomas Bird. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister-in-law, Vicki Schmidt. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Lois will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4705 Brockway, Saginaw. Rev. Daniel Garbow will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Garden. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State). Lois will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
