Obituary of Kathleen M. Owens

OWENS, Kathleen "Kate" M. of Bunnell, Florida, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on October 25, 2014. She was 40 years old. Kathleen Marie Owens was born on July 27, 1974 in Saginaw to Daniel and Barbara (Halm) Owens. Kate graduated from Chesaning Union High School with the Class of 1993. In 2013, she moved to Florida and worked at The Bark Spot where she groomed and cared for dogs. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dog, Atlis, as well as hanging out with Aunt Pat Halm. Surviving are her mother, Barbara Naegele; brother and sister: James (Kim) Owens and Aimee Owens (Keith Konkus); nephew, Daniel Owens; four nieces: Chloe Mclearn, Brittani and Breanna Owens, and Karlie Konkus; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Kate was preceded in death by her father; grandparents; cousin, Jill Ziarko; and uncle, Ralph Halm. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Kathryn Snedeker will officiate. Private burial will take place at St. Andrew Cemetery at a later date. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
