Obituary of James A. Levi

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
LEVI, James A. St. Charles, MI On October 4, 2014, our beloved James, cherished son, brother, nephew and cousin, passed gently into the arms of his Savior and friend Jesus Christ. James A. Levi was born April 16, 1949 to the late Arthur C. and Frances R. Levi in Saginaw MI. He was predeceased by one brother, John A. Levi. He is survived by a sister, Mary (Levi) Tessin and her husband, Joel C. Tessin; aunts: Kathleen Wagner and Vivian Weiss and several cousins. James was a sweet, soft-hearted soul who loved to laugh and eat a good meal. Though bound by earthly disabilities, his bashful smile and gentle eyes touched everyone who met him. We have been blessed to have been a part of his life on earth. We so look forward to seeing him face to face in heaven, hearing him speak, feeling the hug returned from arms that are no longer weak. He is now perfect in Christ. We give a heartfelt thanks to his second family, the wonderful caregivers at Woodlawn Residential Home, who cared for his every need with love and humor over the years. Our deepest thanks also to the medical staff at Covenant Cooper 3rd Floor ICU for the wonderful attention and comfort they gave James in his last hours. Isaiah 40:31 ' ...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
